I was born and raised in Naperville. After attending North Central College where I earned a degree in Psychology, I moved to Chicago seeking to expand my experiences. I worked in social services doing counseling but found this wasn't the right fit for me. I then worked as a meeting planner which utilized my detail-oriented skills and offered me the chance to travel. Although I was succeeding in this line of work, I knew it wasn't my life's passion.
After some soul-searching, I found my way to the Chicago School of Massage Therapy and my whole life changed! Attending massage school gave me a new way to approach myself, my life, my relationships, and my career.
I have been a full-time massage therapist for over 14 years now and I love going to work everyday! I find it very rewarding. The reciprocal nature of massage appeals to me - the more I give, the more I receive.
In 2001, I moved back to Naperville where I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jay, when he's not busy with his pizza shop - Uncle Pete's Pizza. I also love going out to eat or baking my own creations, seeing live music, and going into Chicago. I practice mindful meditation which helps keep me grounded and able to handle life calmly. I also enjoy hanging out with my two cats - Paco and PJ.
Meditation helps us knit all the parts of ourselves together.

The injured self is not who I really am.

Something we were withholding made us weak until we found it was ourselves.
Robert Frost
It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life.
Where you stumble, there lies your treasure.
